The top men's professional league is Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), founded in 2018 by Paul Rabin and his brother Mike. What makes this league unique is that all eight teams travel together to different cities across North America holding weekend events that include multiple games. The league currently has eight clubs: the Archers, Chaos, Chrome, Redwoods, Whipsnakes, Atlas, Waterdogs, and Cannons. In 2021 PLL merged with Major League Lacrosse to continue to expand tour schedules and youth initiatives to grow lacrosse as a major North American sport.
