COACHES
JR WRIGHT
BOYS HEAD COACH
JR grew up playing Baseball, Soccer and Football in Denver, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada. He discovered lacrosse in high school after his family relocated back to Colorado.
In college, JR played club lacrosse for the University of Wyoming Cowboys and was a two-time Captain. As a Senior, he was named RMLC All-Conference and enjoyed the chance to play in the annual Senior Showcase game.
JR helped introduce the sport of lacrosse to Sheridan's youth in 2018 by offering a Summer Clinic through Sheridan Recreation District. From 2019 - 2022 he coached the U14 team for Sheridan Recreation District's Youth Lacrosse program. JR has been the Head Coach for the high school boys team since 2022. JR and his Wife Liz look forward to watching their twins who are now 5 play lacrosse in Sheridan one day.
JON BONGIORNO
BOYS ASSISTANT COACH
Jon grew up in Tillamook, Oregon and started playing lacrosse as a young lad in 1988. After playing through high school and college, Jon began his coaching career with Marist High School in Eugene, OR as an Assistant from 2004 - 2005 then, as a Head Coach from 2006 - 2007. From 2008 - 2016 Jon Coached the University of Oregon men's team and was named PNCLL Conference Coach of the year his final season.
Jon is also a USA Lacrosse Certified Official and instructs Lacrosse Officials at the College, High School and Youth Levels. Jon and his family are excited about their bright future in Sheridan.
Brianna Scholl
GIRLS HEAD COACH
Bri, began her lacrosse journey as a Freshman at Grand Rapids Catholic Central. A year later, she would lead Central to a Regional Championship and go on to earn All-Conference honors as a Senior.
At Aquinas College Bri was named Captain as a Freshman was selected NWLL All-Conference twice and WCLA All-American Honorable Mention as a Sophomore.
After transferring to NCAA DII Grand Valley State as a walk-on, Bri not only earned her roster spot and a starting spot but was selected Team Captain and went on to earn more accolades such as IWLCA Scholar Athlete and Second Team All-GLIAC.
Bri has previously coached middle and highs school girls lacrosse and was involved with the development of Pure Advantage Lacrosse in Grand Rapids, MI. Bri is a Physical Education Teacher at Woodland Park School in Sheridan. Bri and CJ have two wonderful boys who are 2 and 5 years old.
