About Us:
Sheridan Lacrosse Club is the driving force behind lacrosse in Northern Wyoming, offering affordable, accessible, and competitive programs for youth and high school athletes. Founded in 2022 and building on youth programs that began in 2018, we’ve grown rapidly through a model that removes barriers and welcomes players at every level.
Volunteer/Intern: Social Media Manager
Position Summary:
This is an unpaid volunteer or internship role ideal for a creative, lacrosse-passionate individual looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and community engagement. The Social Media Manager plays a vital role in amplifying Sheridan Lacrosse Club’s mission by managing our online presence across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this position helps grow our audience, showcase player achievements, and strengthen community support for the region’s premier lacrosse hub.
Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Scheduling: Develop and post engaging photos, videos, reels, and stories highlighting practices, games, camps, and player spotlights.

Community Engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and tags; foster positive interactions with players, families, and followers.

Event Promotion: Create graphics and campaigns for clinics, tryouts, fundraisers, and Summer Lax Camp.

Brand Consistency: Maintain a fun, inclusive tone and visual style aligned with club values.

Analytics & Growth: Track performance metrics and suggest strategies to increase reach and engagement.
Qualifications:

Strong familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and basic graphic tools (Canva preferred).

Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.

Passion for lacrosse and understanding of youth sports culture.

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to commit 3–5 hours per week (flexible, remote).

Access to a smartphone or camera for capturing content at games/practices (when possible).

Current high school senior, college student, or recent graduate preferred; all experience levels welcome.
Time Commitment:
Year-round with peak activity during Spring season (March–May) and Summer Lax Camp (June–July). Most work is remote; occasional in-person event coverage encouraged but not required.
